I'm an artist, fiction writer, web designer, graphic designer, an imaginationeer. I'm a student and currently work for a small company across the street from Rockefeller Center. I'm a pretty big dork, I enjoy reading comic books, drawing, reading zombie books, doing crossword puzzles, watching movies, playing video games, and I have an online comic which I update weekly. I'm close to finishing my degree in Web Design, and want to work towards becoming a better graphic & web designer.
As a media maker, I believe the web is the future of mass media and will continue to change and grow. I enjoy new, inventive ways to present media. As a media consumer, I feel as though I am very susceptible to some commercials, especially food commercials. I never watch TV, for the exception of the occasional episode Jeopardy, but when there's a commercial for some food item, I tend to suddenly have an urge to eat that particular food. Way to go, you got me. Mostly, I watch movies online or on DVD.
I am interested to see what I will learn in this class, and believe it will be an enjoyable one.
