A Lump of Clay is a blog written by Vikki Wright. She is the mother of 3 children and her hand her husband are missionaries with YWAM (Youth with A Mission) in Aura, Uganda. Her blog has been in operation since 2008 and has really become popular, even earning a spot on InternetCafe's "Top 100 Christian Women Blogs."

As of 2005 YWAM reported having over 15,000 staff in 1,031 locations in 149 countries. Their efforts include trainings and courses on agriculture and health care, drug rehabilitation, feeding street children and helping to facilitate educational assistance for them. Vikki Wright opens a window to her very personal and unique experience as an outsider in a very different world.

She is extremely honest about her feelings about the political, social and cultural differences in a way that is both informative and emotional. This blog gave me a very unique look inside a lifestyle that I one day wish to share. Its sincerity and beautiful transparency really wins a person over but I think it is her unique insight about not only the facts of Africa, but about its humanity that makes this blog really popular, useful and necessary.
